TWO action groups have now been set up against the proposed wind turbines on land near Carlton Scroop.

The parish council has held meetings to discuss members’ objections to the plans, which will go before South Kesteven District Council.

Michael Worth, who lives about 700m from the site of the proposed turbines is adding his opposition to the proposal.

He said: “I am not against wind turbines as such but they must be situated in the right place, particularly so as not to spoil the look of the countryside and people’s enjoyment when visiting it. I hope that the SKDC planners will refuse permission for their installation in this case.”

The applicant, who will use the turbines to power his farm, was unavailable to comment.
