Police appeal after shopper is sexually assaulted in Asda

A SHOPPER at Asda in Grantham was sexually assaulted on Wednesday evening.

The 36-year-old woman was approached by a man who grabbed her bottom. Police suspect that other people may also have been victims.

The incident took place at around 8.20pm at the Union Street supermarket.

Police were called and arrested a 31-year-old man from the Grantham area. He is currently helping police with they enquiries at Grantham police station.

Police spokesman James Newall said: “It is believed there may be other victims who experienced similar assaults and police are calling for them report the crimes as soon as possible.”
