A Long Clawson man has been jailed for 12 years after pleading guilty to a number of sexual offences including five counts of rape.
Charles Tetley, 33, of Kings Road, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to five counts of rape, attempted rape, eight counts of assault by penetration, three counts of sexual assault and 10 counts of making indecent images of children.
Tetley, whose conviction relates to a number of offences against one person between January 2011 and October 2013, was sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on Monday.
Detective Constable Mike Buckey, who was the investigating officer, said: “The victim has shown immense bravery throughout the investigation and court process.
“Fortunately because Tetley pleaded guilty to the offences she has been spared the trauma of re-living what happened to her in the court room.
“I hope that the sentence passed and Tetley’s admission will help the victim move on with her life and put the events of those two and half years behind her.”
