Grantham is Great Awards 2013.

There was much excitement at the Grantham is Great Awards tonight (Tuesday).

Held in the Guildhall theatre and presented by Journal editor Paul Richardson, the awards celebrated our community heroes with categories ranging from Local Hero to Child Achiever.

Well done to all those who took part.

CHILD ACHIEVER

Winner - Leon Brackenbury

Runners-up - Amberly and Elise Johnson, and Jessica Churchill

YOUTH ACHIEVER

Winner - Laura Graves

Runners-up - Annabelle Gascoyne and Georgina Haude

SENIOR ACHIEVER

Outright winner - Lol Pickin

CARING NEIGHBOUR

Winner - Kath Gadd

Runners-up - Bruce Wells, Barrie Cox and Chloe Johnson

Winner - Emma Harkins of Huntingtower Primary School
