A seven-year-old has donated her hair and raised nearly £800 for a charity which creates wigs for young cancer patients.

After hearing about the Little Princess Trust, Madison Latham from Earlesfield Lane had her hair cut at Gerard hairdressers on July 18.

Her mother Jodie Oakes said: “She decided to do it as she knows there are little girls out there that lose their own hair when they get poorly and she thinks that she has enough to share.

“I am very proud of Madison. She has been growing her hair all her life and she’s a very girly girl so loves it in different styles.”

However by being prepared to have a much shorter hairstyle, Madison has been able to donate her long locks and raise an incredible £781.37.
