A whole lot of fun was had in Claypole when the village put on its own version of Stars in Their Eyes.

Some 22 acts took to the stage to entertain members of the public at Claypole Village Hall. The night was based on the television show, the difference being there were no winners or losers.

It is hoped to make this an annual event, and the next one is planned for Saturday, December 6, 2014.

This year’s event was in aid of Cancer Research as a number of friends have been affected by cancer and it was a fitting tribute to them. The evening raised £1,000 and a cheque was presented to Cancer Research.
