The Mayor of Grantham has opened Grantham CAMRA Beer Festival at the Railway Club.

The festival continues at the club until tomorrow (Saturday, August 9) where three Grantham breweries are represented and more than 30 beers plus cider and perry are available to try. A glass costs £1. Entry is £2 and CAMRA members get in free.

Mayor Coun Ian Selby said: “Although I admit to being a lightweight drinker, I thoroughly enjoyed tasting some of these real ales, and especially from the three local breweries that have supported this event. Grantham CAMRA made me feel so very welcome”.

The festival is open 11am to 11pm. Tonight there is live music by The Hot Tomarles.
