Today is your last chance to nominate a community hero into our Grantham is Great Awards 2012
What better way to celebrate our town than with an awards event which recognises the amazing people which live and work in it?
The Grantham is Great Awards is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the incredible talents and inspirational feats of people in the town.
We are inviting YOU to nominate all the people who make Grantham such a fantastic place to live and work.
All you have to do is fill out the online nomination form. It takes just minutes. The deadline for nominations is today (Wednesday).
And then the winners will be chosen by YOU - the readers of the Journal. We will put all the nominations to the public vote and let you decide.
Winners will be announced at a celebration dinner at Belton Woods Hotel on Friday, 30 November.
Headline sponsor is Asda
Sponsor’s message: Asda Grantham is proud to be headline sponsor for the Grantham is Great Awards 2012. Asda Grantham are passionate about looking after the local community, and having a major presence in the town feel Grantham is Great is a tremendous and worthwhile campaign which they are committed to being part of. One example of the store’s commitment to supporting the community is the ‘Chosen by You by Us’ scheme, which invites the public to chose and donate a green token each time they shop for a local non-profit-making organisation. The voting scheme changes every two months – each two months three
charities are voted for and receive either £200 or £50. Changing this every two months means that across the year 18 local non-profit-making organisations benefit.
