Tributes paid to Fenland Food man
A FORMER Grantham man, who worked in a senior role at Fenland Foods, has died aged 56.
David Pilling, of Eye Kettleby, Melton Mowbray, had a brain tumour and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family last Monday.
He was most recently production director for Melton Foods, but had strong links with Grantham and his funeral was held on Wednesday at the town’s crematorium.
His widow Suzanne said: “David was hugely respected by all he met and his untimely death will be a massive loss to all. He was an energetic, caring family man, devoted husband, father, grandad, brother and friend who would always help other people.”
Donations will be divided between Marie Curie, Dove Cottage and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
