‘Unattended’ chip pan causes kitchen blaze in Great Gonerby
Firefighters were called to reports of a chip pan on fire in Great Gonerby yesterday (Tuesday).
Crews from Grantham attended the fire in Belton Lane at around 4.45pm.
There was severe fire damage to the chip pan, extractor and two kitchen units, and moderate smoke damage throughout the kitchen of the detached property.
A Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said the fire was caused by “cooking left unattended”.
