Update: Teenage cyclist hit by van in Grantham suffers multiple injuries

Dysart Road has now opened following an incident this morning (Tuesday) in which a 17-year-old male cyclist was hit by a van and seriously injured.

The teenager, from Grantham, suffered head and arm injuries and a broken leg in the collision, which happened just after 8.25am.

The Vauxhall panel van was driven by a man from the Darlington area.

The road was closed for three hours up to the junction with Barrowby Gate while emergency services were at the scene.

** 9.16: A pedestrian has been injured in a serious collision with a Vauxhall van on Dysart Road this morning.

The man has suffered a broken leg, arm injury and head injury with the ambulance service and police called to the scene at 8.26am.

The road is currently blocked with police advising drivers to avoid the area.
