The Grantham Journal hosted its annual Grantham is Great Awards at the Guildhall last night to highlight the excellent work done by many people in the area.
Among the award winners was Leon Brackenbury who won the Child Achiever award. Leon suffers from spastic diplegia cerebral palsy but does not let this stop him from doing all his peers do. He is now helping his father to walk again following an accident.
Leon said he was very “happy” and “proud” to win the award.
Runners-up in the Child Achiever category were sisters Amberlie and Elisa Johnson, and Jessica Churchill.
