VIDEO: Swimmers raise more than £37,000 at Grantham Rotary Swimarathon
The amount pledged on behalf of fund-raising swimmers who took part in the Grantham Swimarathon at the weekend is an incredible £37,313!
The event saw more swimmers than last year and more teams, swimming more lengths. The amount pledged was also an increase on last year’s total of £37,187.
President of the Rotary Club of Grantham Irvin Metcalf said: “What fantastic support for our RotarySwimarathon this weekend from Grantham and District people, young, old and all abilities. Swimmers, supporters, event sponsors, Rotarians and our Friends of Rotary running the event, all enjoying a resoundingly successful and exciting event.
“The continuing support of our corporate sponsors to cover inevitable overheads ensures all sponsor money collected by our swimmers is channelled to local worthwhile causes and charities.”
