Warning to remove valuables from cars after thieves strike
POLICE are appealing to motorists in the Vale of Belvoir to remove valuables from their vehicles after they were targeted.
Three cars which were parked overnight in Long Clawson were broken into on Monday.
The crooks broke into the vehicles, which were parked in East End, Church Lane and Church Street, and stole the contents which had been left inside.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who say anything suspicious in those areas of Long Clawson on Monday night, to get in touch. They can be contacted on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Officers are urging motorists to remove all items from their vehicles when they are left unattended.
This includes the removal of items such as sat navs from glove compartments to prevent opportunist thieves making it away with property.
