Store to close - Body Shop
The Body Shop in Grantham will close down in March with the loss of four jobs because it is no longer financially viable, says the company.
In a statement the company said: “The Body Shop, Grantham, is due for closure on March 2, due to the store no longer being financially viable. The Body Shop will endeavour to relocate employees where possible.”
Relaunch - Total Networking
The long-running Total Networking group is holding a re-launch meeting on Wednesday, February 13, at The Meeting Venue on the A1 just south of Grantham.

New venue - Bridge Club
Last week’s winners were Carol Fisher and Martin Mellor nd Gaby Leigh and Jim Steele on Monday, and Charu and Sobhag Shah and Eileen Cooper and Terry Hyde on Tuesday.
Members are reminded that from Monday, February 11, the club will meet at the Sports Pavilion, Barrowby. Directions to the pavilion can be found on the club’s website.
Talk - Ladies Luncheon Club
At the recent meeting members were entertained by Colin Deeley, who gave an interesting talk entitled Life in the Workhouse.
Next meeting is on Friday, March 1, when the subject will be Funny Garden Features.

Talk continued - Local History Society
The speaker at the meeting on Monday is David Taylor, on the subject The Diaries of a Wartime Doctor, Part Two.
Last year members heard Part One of his talk about a doctor based in Barton on Humber, during the Second World War, who recorded his own everyday feelings and fears and those of the local population.
Members meet at Grantham Museum, St Peter’s Hill at 7.30pm.
Visitors are welcome, admission £2.
Presentation - Railway Society
Grantham Railway Society will meet on Thursday, February 14 in St Wulfram’s Church Hall, Church Street at 7.30pm.
Chris Youett will give a slide presentation entitled So you thought they were clean - Part IV, which covers steam railways pre-war.
Admission is £1 members Non-members are welcome, admission £2.
Talk - Royal British Legion
Members of the Grantham branch will meet on Tuesday in the Sergeants’ Mess, at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks for 7.30pm.
Member, John Mundy, will give a talk on his experiences and role as a Yeoman of the Queen’s Body Guard.
Members are asked to contribute to the buffet please.
Demonstration - Sugarcrafts
On Thursday, members of Grantham Sugarcrafts will meet at 7pm in St John’s Church, when Nicky Fuller will be demonstrating how to make an Art Deco lady with roses, in bas relief.
Visitors are welcome to attend for a small charge. Further details are available from Carole Troops (Tel: 566279).
Spanish reserves - Wildlife Trust
The Grantham area group meets today (Friday) in Barkston and Syston Village Hall at 7.30pm.
Peter and Carole Leigh will give an illustrated talk on The Wildlife of the Coto Donana/Extremadura region of Spain. There will be a raffle, Trust sales stall and refreshments.
Non-members welcome, suggested donation £2.
