Woman is victim of Grantham robbery

Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed as she walked along Springfield Road, Grantham, on Sunday, May 25.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 6.20pm, as the victim, a local woman, was walking towards the tunnel on Springfield Road in the direction of London Road/McDonalds.

She was approached by a man who pushed her and snatched a mobile phone and purse from her.

She was not seriously injured in the incident, and after the robbery the offender made off towards the direction of Harlaxton Road.

He is described as around 6ft tall, of slim build, and possibly bald.

It is thought there were a number of people in the area at the time of the robbery and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw a man matching the description.
