A WOMAN died following a crash on the A1 at Great Ponton yesterday evening (May 25).
The emergency services were called to the A1 south bound carriageway at around 6.30pm after a white Mini left the road and crashed into a tree.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
A female passenger in the Mini - a woman in her 50s - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to Peterborough District Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
Lincolnshire Police is appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw the white Mini leave the road to contact the police.
