A man who admitted twice assaulting a woman was told he must pay the victim £100 in compensation.

Louis Kidd, 26, of Houghton Road, Grantham, admitted two charges of assault and criminal damage.

The first assault was carried out on February 24 whilst the second was carried out on March 28.

Kidd was made subject to a two-year community order including a 29-day “Building Better Relationships” programme.

As well as the compensation he must pay a £60 surcharge and £300 in court costs.

A 55-year-old man denied harassment.

Neil Barrett of Turnor Close, Grantham, is accused of harassing a female by sending unwanted notes and letters and kissing her between July and December of last year.

Barrett will next appear in court on July 12 to fix a trial.

A woman accused of stealing £150 worth of food and goods from Aldi was sentenced to a community order.

Hazel Hibbitt, 56, of Garnet Mews, Grantham, admitted the offence.

She must pay a surcharge of £60.

A woman who denies assault was bailed until August.

Julie Kavanagh, 41, of London Road, Grantham, is accused of an assault in London Road.

Kavanagh was bailed until August 14.
