Miss F. M. Copley

MISS Freda Mary Copley, fomerly of Top Road, Croxton Kerrial, has died in Newton House Nursing Home, Grantham. She was 86.

Born in Hickling, she had four brothers and one sister.

She helped on the family farm, carrying out secretarial work for her father and brothers.

Her interests included cookery, flower arranging and gardening and she enjoyed taking holidays. Miss Copley was a member of the Women’s Institute and the Melton Flower Club.

Canon Alan Haydock conducted the funeral service at St Botolph and St John the Baptist Church, Croxton Kerrial. Burial followed in Croxton Kerrial churchyard.

Shipman, Maurice and Ena Andrew, Gillian Cunnington, Freda Hart, Lionel and Jackie Farnsworth, Blanch Hubbard, Margaret Gowing, Peter and Mary Tancock, Eva Ellison, Steven Greig and John Manchester.

Funeral arrangements were by Geeson Funeral Directors, Westgate, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Alzheimer’s Society.
