MISS Katie Hankins, daughter of Barrie and Angelyne Hankins, of Old Somerby, and Mr Kevin Smith, son of Pat Pendleton of Grantham, and the late David Frankish, and stepson of Phil Pendleton, were married at St Mary Magdalene Church, Old Somerby.
The service was conducted by the Rev Eric Lomax.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a strapless, ivory gown, with diamante and bow detail and a laced-up back. She carried hand-tied trailing ivory roses and stephanotis.
Bridesmaids were Ellie Jones and Beth Knight, Megan, Kayla and Keira Hankins, bride’s nieces and Courtney and Bethany Smith, bridegroom’s nieces. Ellie, Beth and Courtney wore long, strapless purple gowns with a laced back and carried hand-tied ivory roses. Flowergirls Kayla, Keira and Bethany wore short, ivory dresses and Megan wore a long, ivory gown. They carried dolly bags in ivory satin with purple flower detail.
Best man was Martin Smith, bridegroom’s brother. Ushers were Dean and Darren Hankins, bride’s brothers and Steven and Jason Smith, bridegroom’s brothers.
A reception was held at The Olde Barn Hotel, Marston, followed by an evening disco. A honeymoon followed in Cala Vina, Majorca.
The couple will live in Grantham.
Katie is a retail manager and she enjoys Zumba and shopping. Kevin is a double glazing fabricator and he enjoys going to the gym.
