MISS Rebecca Louise Thorpe, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. E. Thorpe, of Grantham, and Mr Orrin, Wiliam Hipkin, son of Mr Paul Hipkin, of Croxton, Norfolk, and Mrs Cathy Hipkin, of Fleckney, Leicestershire, were married at Halstead House, Tilton on the Hill, Leicestershire.
Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory taffeta, off-the-shoulder gown, with a bodice encrusted with pearls and crystals. She carried ivory avalanche roses, freesias, eucalyptus, rosemary and mint.
Bridesmaids were Abigail Pashley and Nyssa Hipkin, wearing empire-line, green chiffon, strapless gowns with an ivory sash. They carried flowers similar to the bride’s.
Best man was James Palmer. Ushers were Matthew Thorpe and Matthew Summers. The reception was held at Halstead House, Tilton on the Hill.
The couple will live in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, and plan to take their honeymoon later in the year when they will visit the USA. Rebecca is a primary school teacher in Leicestershire. Her interests include cookery, music, photography and visiting the gym.
