MR Denis George Morgan, of Pond Street, Great Gonerby, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 81.
Mr Morgan was born in Victoria Street, Grantham, the only son of George and Gladys Morgan.
He married Alma at St John’s Church, Grantham, and they had been happily married for 54 years. Their daughter, Jayne, was born in 1957.
At the age of 14 he started work as an apprentice at Aveling Barford. His National Service was completed in the Royal Air Force and he returned to Aveling Barford as a demonstrator, travelling all over the world. He then became an area sales manager until his retirement at the age of 60.
Mr Morgan enjoyed wood carving, fishing, and he had mastered computing in his 70s.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Mr Alan Horn was unable to attend due to illness.
Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire air ambulance.
