MR David John Greenfield, of Manor Court, Colsterworth, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 74.
Mr Greenfield was born in Moseley, Birmingham, in December 1936.
In 1967 he moved to the Grantham area and lived in Bottesford, Oasby and Colsterworth.
He married Ruth in 1959 and they had three children, Pamela, Rachel and Steven. He also leaves his sons-in-law, Andrew and Barry, daughter-in-law, Clare, and five grandsons, Christopher, William, Nicholas, Thomas and Jack.
Mr Greenfield qualified as a certified accountant in Coventry in 1965. In 1966 he joined Leonard E. Parr and Company in Grantham, as a partner, where he worked until his retirement in 1997.
He was honorary treasurer of Stoke Rochford Golf Club for 25 years until last year. A keen sportsman, he participated in football, tennis, badminton and bowls. His main sport was golf and he was a very active golfer and member of Stoke Rochford Golf Club for 43 years.
The Rev Eric Lomas conducted the funeral service at St John the Baptist Church, Colsterworth. Cremation followed in Grantham.
