Mr Edward Victor Dodson (Ted), of Cromer Place, Grantham, has died in Leicester General Hospital. He was 85.
Mr Dodson was born in 1927, into a large family who lived in Tolworth, Surrey.
He worked as showroom manager at a plumbing merchants until his retirement.
Mr Dodson enjoyed painting and decorating and he liked to try his hand at any DIY jobs.
He and his wife also enjoyed ballroom dancing and they made many friends. He also enjoyed the friendship of neighbours and enjoyed to chat to whoever was passing.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by the Rev Chris Boland. Burial followed.

Other mourners included: Valerie and Tony Benbridge, Tracy and Chris Potter, Doreen Hart, Ian and Michelle Pittam, Mr and Mrs J. Warren, Maureen and John Hopkins, Peter and Barbara Rayment and Philip and Gwen Doggett.
Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for Grantham Hospital.
