MR Frank Flaherty, of Bridge End Road, Grantham, has died in Nottingham City Hospital. He was 47.
He was born in Liverpool, the son of Jean and Frank Flaherty.
At the age of 16 he joined the Army and served for 23 years. During this time he was posted to Germany, Cyprus, the Gulf (twice) where he saw action, also Bosnia and the Falkland Islands. On leaving the Army in 2004 as a Warrant Officer 2, he did voluntary work for the Prince’s Trust. He then went into the retail loss prevention business, holding several managerial positions, latterly with TK Maxx, covering several of their stores.
Mr Flaherty was a keen golfer and a lifelong fan of Liverpool Football Club. He loved all sports.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Andrew Key.
