MR Harry Pashley, of Pasture Close, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 78.
Born in June 1933, in Newark, Nottinghamshire, he was the son of Nellie and Charlie Pashley and the second born of three children. He leaves his wife, Anne, son, Simon, granddaughter, Rebecca and daughter-in-law, Lesley.
He served in the Merchant Navy from his early teens, passing his exams in navigation and travelling all over the world until leaving in his late 20s. He then worked in Grantham until his retirement. Mr Pashley’s interests were gardening, reading, history and football and he enjoyed socialising.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.
