MR Josef Mueller, of Goodliff Road, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 86.
He was born in Hermannseifen, Czechoslovakia, the son of Josef and Adelheid and the middle child in a family of five. His siblings were Max, Margareta, Albert and Richard.
He married Lilian in 1958 and they had two daughters, Rosie and Angela, and later two grandchildren, Jenny and Ryan.
As a teenager he joined the German Air Force. After being discharged as a Prisoner of War in 1948, he stayed in England and worked in agriculture. He later went on to work at Aveling Barford.
Mr Mueller enjoyed gardening and horse racing.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
