MR John Richard Heasman, of Teesdale Road, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 63.
Mr Heasman was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
He was married to Mary and they had a daughter, Michelle, and subsequently two grandchildren, Charlotte and Samuel.
He and his wife moved to Grantham six years ago, to be near to their daughter.
Mr Heasman served in the Royal Navy for seven years. He then had several jobs throughout his working life, but settled in the building industry as a scaffolding manager, until his early retirement in 1994, through ill health.
His main hobby was playing bar billiards, and he won many trophies for this. Other interests included football, tennis and snooker.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Philip Collins.

Welsman, Lorraine Woodthorpe, Maria and Glyn Cleary, Luis Cleary, Aaron Cleary, Marc Cleary, Keith Thompson, Paul and Jan Sainsbury, Dave and Trudy Alexander-Blow, Paul Sugden, Jim and Jean Dempster, Philip and Suzanne Collins, Jean Coates, Grace Kwasau, Gayle Wharton, Audrey Hepworth, Diana Banjo, Joyce Simpson and Janet Roy.
Funeral arrangements were by David Holland Funeral Directors, London Road, Grantham.
