MR Mervyn Edmund Tilley, of Kingscliffe Road, Grantham, has died at home. He was 65.
Born in Stainby, he was the eldest son of May and the late Eddie Tilley. He had two brothers, Raymond and Bruce, and two sisters, Pamela and Wendy.
He was married to Mary for 41 years.
Mr Tilley worked at Aveling Barford until illness curtailed his employment.
He enjoyed all sport and in his younger days he played football and cricket for local teams. He also liked to play darts and complete crossword puzzles.
The Rev Nicky Marshall conducted the funeral service at St Anne’s Church, Grantham. Cremation followed.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for the Diabetes Centre, Dundee House, Nottingham City Hospital.
