MR Patrick Joseph Knight, of Braemar, Close, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 80.
Mr Knight was born in Dublin, Ireland, and came to Grantham at the age of 17 to work with his father.
He worked at several firms within the town, including the Maltings, Bristows, Vacu-Lug and finally, American Can, from where he retired.
Mr Knight enjoyed Country and Western music. His hobbies had included clay pigeon shooting and formation dancing and he had been a member of a team for Geoff Wise, who owned a local dance school.
In his younger years he helped to train at the local boxing club.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
