MR Stanley Arthur Swanson, of Newton Court, Colsterworth, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 85.
Mr Swanson was born at College Place, North London.
He married Edith in December 1959. He had one stepson, David, three daughters, Lorraine, Suzanne and Helen, four grandsons, Josh, Ash, Raph and Lewis, three granddaughters, Hayley, Louise and Becky and two adopted granddaughters, Shenice and Chenelle.
After leaving school he worked at the ABC Bread Company until he was called-up to join the RASC and spent three years serving in Italy. After demobilisation he joined Maples Carpet Fitters. He then became a capstan operator on the railway until 1959. His final employer was Camden Council, where he worked from 1960 until his retirement.
Mr Swanson’s interests included motorbikes and cars.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
