MR William Geoffrey Bromfield (Geoff), of Harlaxton Road, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 85.
He was born in 1926 in Woodthorpe, Lincolnshire, and had a sister Wynne. He later moved to Grantham, where he met Jean, who became his wife.
Mr Bromfield spent his whole working life at British Rail as a relief signalman, retiring in 1991.
He and his wife joined the indoor bowling club, where they played for a number of years. They also enjoyed many holidays abroad and at their caravan on the East Coast.
The Rev Jill Potts conducted the funeral service at St John’s Church, Manthorpe. Burial followed in Manthorpe cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for Parkinson’s UK and the RSPCA.
