MRS Christine Rose Dodd, of Gregory Close, Harlaxton, has died in Kings Court Nursing Home, Church Street, Grantham. She was 60.
Born in Coningsby, Lincolnshire, she was the daughter of the late Elsie and Victor Petley.
The family moved to Barkston when she was very young. It was where she was raised and also where she met her husband, Richard Dodd, to whom she was married for almost 42 years. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Joann and Susan, and a devoted grandmother to Marie Dodd.
Her first job was in the catering department of Grantham Hospital. After bringing up her children and granddaughter, she worked as customer relations specialist alongside her husband, a self-emoloyed heating and plumbing engineer and electrician.
Mrs Dodd enjoyed socialising and shopping. She loved spending time with her family and friends and together with her husband she attended cricket matches and made the cricket teas for many years. The couple also took many day trips and they followed the Searchers, their favourite group.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by John Dyson.

Funeral arrangements were by Geesons Funeral Directors, Westgate, Grantham.
