MRS Hannah Nancy Knight, of Union Street, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 78.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in January 1934, she was the daughter of Francis and Rebecca Loughins, and one of 10 children.
She married Mr R. Bremner in September 1959 and they had two daughters, Wendy and Debbie.
In 1955 she joined the Women’s Royal Air Force and served for four years. She later worked at BMARC for a while until going on to work as a waitress at the Pop-In restaurant, and in time became the manageress. Mrs Knight then worked at various public houses in Grantham, including the Isaac Newton, Manners Arms, White Lion, White Hart, Churchills and Barley Mow, to name a few.
In her younger days she loved diving and won several trophies. When her daughters were young she was an avid knitter and dressmaker.
During her time working in pubs she played for the various darts teams. She also enjoyed reading. Mrs Knight was a very sociable person.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.

Funeral arrangements were by David Holland Funeral Directors, London Road, Grantham.
