Mrs J. Pollard

MRS Jean Pollard of Great Gonerby, Grantham, died at home. She was 81.

She was born in Grantham.

As a child, she went to school in Bottesford and lived in Harston when married to Jim Bell.

Together, they had two sons, Kevin and Robert.

Sadly, her husband died in 1990.

She went on to marry Raymond Pollard and moved to Peterborough until his death in 2006, then moving to Gonerby.

Mrs Pollard worked on Eptons farm in Harston and latterly as a home help in the Vale of Belvoir.

She loved gardening and her pet dog and cats.

The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel on July 13, conducted by Robert Holland.

Family mourners included: Kevin and Sue Bell, Robert and Sharon Bell, Diane Simpson, David Brown, Mr and Mrs Hill, Linda and Pat Nixon, Helen lover and Richard Nixon. Other mourners included: Rose and George O’Connor, Audrey Darcy, Wendy Atter, Pat Taylor, Dave Paxton, Colin and Diana Marshall, Joan and John Watchorn, Joan and Geoffrey Owen, Mr and Mrs Peatman, Juliet Marshall, Roger Marshall, Mr and Mrs Ablewhite, George and Teresa Richardson and Janet Marshall.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for Macmillan Nurses.
