MRS Kathleen Lilian Durant, of Main Street, Allington, has died in Grantham Hospital. She was 91.
Born in Woodford, East London, to Arthur and Rosetta Carr, she was the eldest of three daughters.
She moved to Grantham at the beginning of the Second World War, where she met Jim, who later became her husband.
Her husband died four months before they were due to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary.
She leaves five sons and one daughter, along with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her other daughter sadly died in 1990. Mrs Durant was devoted to her family.
For 20 years Mrs Durant worked as a post lady in Allington, until her retirement.
Canon Alan Haydock conducted the funeral service at Holy Trinity Church, Allington. Burial followed in the churchyard.

Funeral arrangements were by Geesons Funeral Directors, Westgate, Grantham.
