MRS Rose Alice Tampin (Kitty), of Chandos House, Grantham, has died there. She was 93.
Born in Geeston, Ketton, Rutland, to John and Rose Harvey, she was the youngest of 10 children. Her childhood was spent in South Witham. Her siblings have all predeceased her.
She met and later married Fred in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershite. They had four daughters. Her husband was in the Royal Air Force so the family moved around with various postings.
Mrs Tampin moved to Grantham in 1974 after her husband’s death.
In her younger days she worked in service in Melton Mowbray.
Her interests included embroidery, crochet and knitting, dancing and watching all sport on the television.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland. Her ashes will be interred in South Witham.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
