THE Peacock Inn at Redmile was overflowing with music fans on Saturday as it hosted the League of Friends of Grantham Hospital’s charity music night.
The hugely successful evening raised £650 for Grantham hospital. Al Cotton played host to the evening, which included a music quiz, raffle and sing-along.
The director of the Peacock Inn, Dee Brown, opened her pub to the talented locals, who generously donated their time to entertain the audience.
On show were Jack Drury, the 2009 winner of Newark’s got Talent, Lucy Keirl from the Grantham Operatic Society, Del House, Mindy Smart, Bob & Paul, Steven Petrou and Swing.
Ray Woodcock of the League of Friends of Grantham Hospital said: “This was a great night for our charity, with an array of local talent entertaining a sell out audience, encouraging us to consider further music events in the future.
“Our thanks also go to everyone who came to the show, thus raising really needed funds for the hospital.”
The event comes as the League of Friends of Grantham Hospital celebrates its 40th year of providing help and support for patients and raising much needed money for the hospital.
