As we pass from 2015 into 2016 I wish you all a very happy, healthy, prosperous and, above all, peaceful year.
The last year has seen many tragedies in the world and vicious fighting in many countries.
The year has ended with large areas of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria suffering from severe flooding and many people homeless and having lost much of their possessions.
Here in Grantham we have much to be grateful for. Of course some things could be better and I will continue to do as much as possible to promote Grantham as a great place to live work and play.
Work has started on the relief road, which will make a big difference to the town centre, and improvements to the facilities at Grantham Hospital both in staff numbers and buildings are taking place. 2016 is starting off well and may it continue throughout the year.
