Newton the Easter Bunny is set to hit the streets of Grantham again!
Joined by his team of volunteers, Newton will be aboard his float asking the kind people of Grantham for donations towards three good causes. They are Grantham Foodbank, Grantham Deaf Children’s Society and equipment for pupils of Huntingtower Primary School.
Organisers are Kristy Burks and Tess Sheehy, parents of children at Huntingtower. They launched the Newton project last year and plan to make it an annual event for families to look forward to.
Tess said: “We want to keep the money raised here in Grantham.”
Kristy added: “When you can see where the money’s going you don’t mind giving it.”
Newton will be out and about between Sunday, March 24, and the following Wednesday. He will start out in the Barrowby Gate area followed by the Alma Park and Harrowby area, and then Houghton Road, Springfield Road and Harlaxton Road. On each day, he will be out between 5pm and 8pm. Newton and his gang will also spend a day in the Isaac Newton Shopping Centre.
