Mr Albert John Elvidge, of Grantham, has died in St Barnabas Hospice, Lincoln. He was 78.
Born in Eagle, near Lincoln, he has two brothers, Robert and Fred, and a sister, Nancy.
He was married to Shirley and they had three sons, Mark, Keith and Neil. Keith sadly died aged 28.
Mr Elvidge leaves grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew, and granddaughters, Amy and Chloe, along with great-grandson, Jay-Jay.
He worked at John Lee as a lorry driver, until later moving to British Steel, where he was works foreman.
Mr Elvidge loved his garden and going for walks. He also enjoyed holidays both at home and abroad.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Ernest Fytche.
