Mr Colin Price, of Princess Drive, Grantham, has died at home. He was 75.
He was born on June 18, 1939 in New Street, Grantham, the son of Dorothy and Bill Price.
He has three sisters, Carol, Susan and Jane.
Mr Price attended the National School, followed by the Boys’ Central School.
On leaving school he became an apprentice car mechanic at Burton’s Garage on Swinegate.
He then joined the Army, where he served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).
After his military service he went to work at Ruston and Hornsby. He later moved to Aveling Barford, where he worked as a chauffeur. His final employment was at British Rail, as an electrician.
When he left the Army Mr Price lived in Dysart Road. He met Ann, a friend of his sister, who later became his wife. They had three children, Karen, Kevin and Clare and subsequently five grandchildren, Sean, Connor, Kieran, Molly and Evan.
Mr Price enjoyed fishing, car boot sales, watching war and western films and spending time at his caravan.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Robert Holland.
