Mr David Albert James, of Winchester Road, Grantham, has died while on holiday in Tenerife. He was 83.
Born in Paddington, London, he was the third and youngest child of John and Theresa James.
At the age of 14 he started an apprenticeship with HMV.
After his National Service with the REME, he began a career with Times Furnishing.
At the age of 55 he started his own business in Grantham call Furniture Today, retiring at the age of 65 after 10 successful years.
His interests were gardening and travel.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Mrs Sheila Finch.
