Mr David Edward Roberts, of Grantham Road, Ingoldsby, has died at home. He was 86.

Born in Grantham, he wasthe son of Edward and Blanche Roberts.

He had a sister, Dorothy, who has predeceased him.

After a spell in the Royal Tank Regiment at the end of the Second World War, he worked for the Conservative Party for over 40 years, eventually becoming a central office agent.

His interests included gardening, U3A and Probus. He served as church warden and treasurer at St Bartholomew’s Church, Ingoldsby for a number of years.

The funeral service was held at St Bartholomew’s Church, Ingoldsby, conducted by the Rev Mike Doyble. Cremation took place at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.
