Mr John Frederick Stephens, of Blackburn Close, Grantham, has died in St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice. He was 60.
He was born on October 1, 1953, in Great Barr, Staffordshire.
In 2003 he married Cheryl.
He had two daughters from a previous marriage, Sarah-Jayne and Leanne Stephens, and was also stepdad to Cheryl’s sons, Simon and Jonathan Parnaby.
Mr Stephens joined the Army in 1970, serving for four years. He then joined West Midlands Police Force in 1974, leaving two years later. After training as a mechanic electrician he progressed in the motor trade until his final appointment was as business development manager for after sales at Sandicliffe Motors.
His interests included golf, motorcycling, Formula 1 motor racing and football. He was a dedicated supporter of West Bromwich Albion FC.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by Carolyn Bacon.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for Macmillan Cancer Care and St Barnabas Hospice, Lincoln.
