Mr Stephen Richard Bennett, of Victoria Street, Grantham, has died in Grantham Hospital. He was 62.

Born in Foston, he was the son of Grace and Arthur Bennett.

He is predeceased by his brother John, but is survived by his brother Victor.

He leaves his wife Margaret, sons Paul and Mark, daughters-in-law Kelly and Marie and many grandchildren.

Mr Bennett worked at Industrial Engines, then Hillreach Limited, and Metron Eledyne for many years.

He was interested in gardening and cookery programmes, but his main passion was for Formula 1 and Moto GP racing.

The Rev David Shenton conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Margaret Bennett, Victor Bennett, Paul Bennett, Kelly Bennett, Mark Cock, and Marie Walker.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Nurses.
