Mr Terence Richard Baker, of South Parade, Grantham, has died in Martin Hall Nursing Home, Martin by Timberland, Lincolnshire. He was 78.
Born in Aisby, the son of Charles and Alice, he was the second eldest of four children.
He married Doris and they had two children, Michael and Trevor. He has two grandchildren, Kerry and Bradley and two great-grandchildren, Shannon and Lucie.
After his National Service, his main job was as a draughtsman at Barpak, where he completed over 20 years service.
Mr Baker was a keen gardener and pigeon fancier. He also loved football and he had played, captained and managed Ropsley Football Club. A big Nottingham Forest fan, he attended many games and followed them on European campaigns. In his later years Mr Baker loved watching his grandson, Bradley, play football.
The Rev Nicky Marshall conducted the funeral service at St John’s Church, Spitalgate, Grantham. Cremation followed.
