Mrs Edna Endley, of Wheatgrass Lane, Caythorpe, has died in Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. She was 80.
Born in March, 1932, in Grantham, she was the daughter of William and Florence Topham. She had five brothers and four sister of whom three survive, Ron, Joyce and Denis.
In March 1957 she married Pete and they had 54 years together until his death in May 2011. They had two children, Steve and Tracey, and one grandson, Luke.
Mrs Endley attended the National School.
She worked at the Picture House and Ransome and Marles prior to her marriage. She then became a housewife, mum, and later nanna.
When her children were young she worked on the land picking potatoes and took her children with her. She then became cleaner and babysitter for Mrs Brown, working for her for 16 years.
Mrs Endley loved a game of bingo and enjoyed reading.
The Rev Nicky Marshall conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.
