Mrs Elsie Lepora, of Spire View, Grantham, has died at home. She was 99.
Mrs Lepora was born in Nottingham.
She married Dante in 1936 after they met while working in Bournemouth. They moved to Nottingham and then Grantham.
Her husband predeceased her in 1967.
She leaves four children, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchidlren. Her daughter, Anne has predeceased her.
Mrs Lepora spent many years working as a waitress at The George Hotel and at The Angel and Royal Hotel, Grantham.
She was a keen gardener during her time at the family home on New Beacon Road, and later at Turnor Crescent. An avid reader, she particularly enjoyed historical novels.
Mrs Lepora also enjoyed overseas travel, visiting family in Singapore, South Africa and Spain. She attended a family reunion in Italy at the age of 93.
A funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Other mourners included: Jason Lam, Tim Spencer, Anne Clarkson, Rita Smith, Jack Murphy, Ray Toon, Jennifer Reid, Fran Thompson, Dawn and George Musson, Alan and Judi Collins, Sheila Ramsden, Betty Phillips, Alison Parker, Mr Bond, Terry Baines, and Margaret Lemon.
Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for Cancer Research.
