Mrs Josephine Margaret Meredith, of Riverside, Grantham, has died in Lincoln County Hospital. She was 78.
Mrs Meredith was born in Wellingore, Lincolnshire. She had five brothers and the family worked hard on the local farm.
In 1959 she married Fred Eden. He predeceased her.
In 1980 she was married to Harold Meredith.
She had five children, four daughters and a son. One daughter died in infancy. She also leaves six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In her earlier days she had worked at Smith’s Crisps in Lincoln.
She was also employed at Avro, where she cleaned Lancaster aeroplanes. She gave up work to become a full-time mother.
Mrs Meredith’s interests included gardening, bingo, and outings organised by Riverside Community Centre. She enjoyed feeding the ducks and TV quiz shows.
In her former days she liked touring around the UK with her husband, and they were both members of Royal British Legion clubs.
Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.
Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
